Jenna & The Joneses, a blues band from Knoxville, will be in concert at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center to conclude the Sunset Concert Series for 2008. The concert will take place rain or shine.

The 2nd annual Jerusalem Experience takes place on October 11, 2008 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Townsend Amphitheater. The event replicates the streets of Jerusalem in Bible times.
There will be many exhibits and activities including an animal petting area, making of baskets and belts, costume and flag designing, grape stomping, and much more. There will also be a presentation of the Hebrew dance by the Daughters of Zion.

Wood-N-Strings Dulcimer Shop is hosting a concert for T.N.T., a local dulcimer trio, as part of their “Pickin’ Porch” series. The concert will be held on Saturday, August 30th at 7:00. Wood-N-Strings Dulcimer Shop is located in Townsend at 7645 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy.

The Annual Spring Heritage Festival is being held on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center in Townsend. It will showcase craftsmen who create musical instruments that are used in playing “mountain music.” There will be demonstrations by craftsmen of violins, dulcimers, mandolins, and more. There will also be music, storytelling, concessions, and much more.
